Free ESL Summer Classes: Cape May County Technical School is offering free ESL(English as a Second Language) classes June through August, 2019 at the One Stop Career Center, 3810 New Jersey Ave., Wildwood, NJ 08260. Class is held from 9 a.m. to 11.a m. on the following dates: June 27. July 2, 3, 9, 10 16, 18, 23 and 25. August 1, 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 22, and 29.

Free Computer Training: Do you need to update your computer skills? Free computer classes focusing on Basic Computer Usage, Email, Internet and Microsoft Word are available every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the One Stop Center, 3810 New Jersey Ave., Wildwood, NJ 08260. Free High School Equivalency (HSE) Preparation Classes: Need to obtain your high school diploma? The Cape May County Technical School offers free  Adult Basic Education (ABE) and HSE instruction Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the One Stop Center, 3810 New Jersey Ave. Wildwood, NJ 08260. Classes are for individuals age 16 and older.​​To register, call 609-380-0200, ext. 644, or stop into the One Stop Center from 8:30am to 11:30 a.m.​

​Get Paid While Learning a New Trade or Skill:
 The Cape May County Workforce Development On-The-Job Training program provides an opportunity for unemployed workers to learn a new trade while being paid up to 26 weeks. The goal is for workers to learn while on the job which can lead to full-time employment.​​

The One-Stop Center is staffed with an OJT specialist for those seeking more information and discuss current employers participating in the program.

The Cape May County One-Stop Center is funded under the Work Force Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA), a federally funded training and job program that creates a new approach, providing workforce activities through statewide and local systems. ​​ The program is not an entitlement. Rather, it is a last resort for employment offering those who qualify—generally Adults, Dislocated Workers, and Older Youth (18-24)—education and training opportunities in specific in-demand occupations that will lead to full-time employment.​​
Free Job & Career Search Assistance: The One-Stop Center provides an array of job training, education and employment services that target unemployed and dislocated workers, youths, veterans, ex-offenders, age 55-plus, and those who have a physical or mental disability. ​​The Center also offers residents access to personal computers, Internet access, telephones, copy and fax machines. ​
​ Need help preparing for work? ​Careers Begin Here: Job Corps Offers Tuition-Free Training: Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 50 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 train for meaningful careers, complete their high school education, and obtain employment.

​ Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals since 1964. At Job Corps, students have access to room and board while they learn skills in specific training areas for up to three years. In addition to helping students obtain career technical skills, complete their education and gain employment, Job Corps also provides transitional support services, such as help finding employment, housing, child care, and transportation. Job Corps graduates either enter the workforce or an apprenticeship, go on to higher education, or join the military.
